JOTT to MENTAT now costs money.
My letter from Jott was heralding the good news that Jott was now out of BETA. However, it now means being able to Jott to Mentat costs me money.
It’s not much, but could make me look for other options.

We’re not happy about Jott’s decision to do this. They didn’t even contact us to let us know that this was happening. We’re still working on an announcement for our users.

Have you looked into VR+? It does cost, but it is only a one-time cost as compared to the monthly cost of Jott.

The nice thing about Jott is that it turns your spoken message into text for use in Mentat. Too bad they’re charging the way they are. I’d consider a one time charge, but think $150.00 a year is a bit much.

Well, the regular Jott service will work fine with Mentat and only costs $3.95 a month, not $12.95 (the cost for Jott Pro). So you can continue to use it by paying the $48/year, not $150.

Thanks Dan. I thought I’d need the Jott Pro. I’ll continue to use it at that price.

I just discovered a new voice to text service that works from just about anywhere. It’s called ReQall. So far it has proved to get the text down well. It comes as a email or SMS. I can send that text to Mentat as a task.

I’ve got a new one for you to look into. It’s called DIAL2GO.com. Supposedly you can create your own command for where you want to post the task.
Then you give it the URL. I’ve not make it work yet. I’m not sure I’m sending it to the right URL.
