Sometimes I’d like to able to save a task to Mentat when I am not connected to the internet with my Blackberry. (Like when I am on an airplane) |

Not yet. We’re working on offline use under the iPhone and on the Mac first (easier because we can use sqlite for the storage). Once that’s done we’ll roll out a j2me implementation for the BlackBerry. It’s probably at least a month or two out right now. |

At least I know there is hope. I can make your solution slightly easier by voicing my note to memo pad using Vlingo. If I could get Vlingo to send a task to Mentat that would be even better. |

We’ve talked about adding the ability to create new tasks from notes in the same way that we do with email and SMS messages. Would that be an acceptable interim solution? |

I think that would be a good step in the right direction. |

hmslloyd, i’m not as familiar with Vlingo as with services like Jott (I’m looking into it right after posting this), but would Mentat’s Jott awareness help you with your Vlingo-to-Mentat proposal? |

Vlingo is a beta program that lets you voice a message to a task or note. As for Jott it is my favorite for voicing to mentat. However, if I am on a plane I can’t connect to that either. Somehow, I need to be able to get the note to mentat-hopefully without retyping it. |
