Keep your team out of status meetings
Mentat's event notification system and centralized database eliminates the need for most status meetings. New tasks are almost immediately made visible to team members, along with supporting comments. Status updates from the team are sent back to the project manager the same way, and any changes to tasks are immediately visible in the Project view.
Automatic task distribution
The Mentat Project view lets you define your tasks in one place and then rapidly assign them to your team mates. As you do so you will be automatically be prompted to update the task with a comment. The comment gives you an opportunity to explain why the task is being assigned to a particular person and is automatically attached to the task's comment thread.
The new task will show up in the assignee's agenda within a few minutes. They will also receive a notification via email and (if configured to do so) SMS.

Automatic status updates
When you assign a task to a user in Mentat, it shows up automatically at the top of their Agenda within minutes. The Agenda UI is designed to bring the new task to their attention and let them quickly decide on their next course of action.
The Agenda UI allows the user to quickly browse the task's comment thread for any information and post their own reply as well. Their new reply will quickly end up in the project view and will also be sent to you as an email or SMS message.

Any closing comments?
Mentat prompts users for comments when the close or reassign tasks, allowing you to capture why and how the task was moved out of their workspace.
